Hot off the easel

Just finished this small painting; ‘Vibrant Landscape‘. It measures 16 x 16 inch. Painted in acrylics on canvas. I hope it evokes the movement and colour-rich environment of the outdoors. I find it’s a case of sitting and observing a landscape – in my case the high moors of Dartmoor. After a while you notice more and more colours and with the breeze, sounds and smells, it becomes a living, dynamic and exciting place. It is difficult to portray all this with say, camera, or even traditional figurative painting style. But as an abstract the colour, vibrancy and dynamic atmosphere is easier to portray.

This painting is for sale – see it on the gallery page.
